This is a personal message from a staunch left member of your Party.

I supported Respect in the by-election in Bradford West - quite simply because Labour aren't listening any more. They had thirteen years to listen on Palestine and never, they had thirteen years to listen to how people were desperate for change and they introduced "whiter then white" politics which soon turned blood red with illegal wars.

You have expelled Cllrs/MP's for sticking to core Labour, socialist values, what kind of a political party kicks its supporters in the teeth and says "we don't want a stonkingly great knee's up, an open top bus. a real umpfh...we want the tired old New Labour feel which has a Conservative stench on it." Which is true except when Skinner, Campbell, McDonnell, Cruddas and Lavery to name but a few stand up and speak as they know what they are talking about.

I've been writing to, written, contributed to and authored letters, blogs, newspapers, articles, correspondence with MP's/Cllr's and suchlike for some years now and I still getting the same old "policy nonsense" as I always have.

One thing has to give - either you get your act together and start speaking to folk on the ground today or you go.

Tony Blair is responsible for Mr Galloway's expulsion and then election on a Real Labour ticket in Bradford West.

So, when you have decided what you are going to do then I'm ready, bursting with ideas, to help.

Otherwise, me and Labour members like me will leave, in droves, on strike, like Unite/GMB that you are supposedly fighting for. All Labour Party monies due from myself and my consortia will be paid to "Rotherham Against Cuts" to try and fight off the Conservative cuts that are being signed and sealed by Labour councils up and down the country.

Ed - you're with us or you're against us. Make up your son.

PCS the fighting Union shows the Way

Ballot Results came out today for Public and Commercial Service;s Union which gave a massive thumbs down to the pension robbery.  In this consultation ballot that represents the vast Majority of staff a massive 90.5% voted to reject the pensions theft and 72.1% voted to continue strike action.  This demonstrate a steely determination to continue the fight and its our belief this will soon make the other small number of unions that have caved in look out of touch.

This result simply demonstrates the feeble cave in of certain TUC leaders who are more keen to keep new Labour happy than organise and fight back.  As New Labour have already publicly announced they support many of the cuts, and most likely wont reverse the ones this current government are imposing, without any clear democratic mandate, the case some have given to baton down the hatches until a labour victory looks even more ridiculous.

Rotherham against the Cuts welcomes this fight back by PCS and like minded Unions, and will be there supporting you on the 28th and beyond.  We urge all trade unions to raise up and join the fight and all members of the public to stand with PCS and other unions. This fight is more than just defending pensions this is a fight for all workers to have the right to a decent pension.  Like the fight to save the NHS this is also about the future for our kids and grand-kids lets not let them down! .

SCHOOL, Meadowhall Road, Kimberworth, Rotherham S61 2JD. 7pm. Monday
19th March (unless strike called off).

The NUT, UCU and PCS surveys on future pensions action will be closed
next week and by Monday 19th the executives of these three unions will
have met to decide on the action to be taken on March 28th. Therefore
I have booked a venue in Rotherham (near the M1) on the 19th so
colleagues from across South Yorkshire can meet to discuss plans for
the 28th .. and beyond.

This meeting is aimed not only at branch officers. All activists are
welcome and should be encouraged to come and join the discussion.

Invitations to this meeting should not be restricted to NUT, PCS, UCU
and UNITE members planning to strike. As on June 30th we will want to
turn the day into a show of unity amongst all those wishing to stand up
to this callous government. With cuts of over 100 pounds per person
due in all S York's authorities (and an increase of 4 pounds per person
in Richmond-Upon-Thames) there is a wider agenda that we also need to
be raising.

Support Thomas Rotherham College NUT members

Dear All,

NUT members in sixth form colleges have voted by a substantial majority in favour of strike action in defence of funding and pay.

The NUT’s action began on 23 February, when NUT members in London took strike action. As well as joining picket lines, members attended a successful NUT-organised lobby of Parliament - taking the case against cuts directly to the heart of Government. A packed meeting at Parliament was addressed by John McDonnell MP, as well as by teachers and students.

As the next stage of the action, NUT members in sixth form colleges outside London are being asked to take a half day’s strike action on the afternoon of 15 March. Peter Humphries is the union rep at Thomas Rotherham College. Rotherham. Your support in any way, shape or form will be very much appreciated.
